The chapter meeting of the Treasure Coaster RV Club was held on Saturday,

March 23rd at Champions Run RV Park in Ocala.

   President Gil Snyder called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM  and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

After welcoming the club members Gil read the minutes of the January and February meetings.

There were no corrections to the minutes and it was Moved, Seconded and Voted to accept the minutes as read.

  Gil reviewed the success of the club SEA committee efforts and thanked Nidia and many others who were instrumental in seven new members joining the club.  It was suggested that the February meeting at SEA be our club meeting when the South East Area of FMCA has a rally in Lakeland. 

Gil welcomed the new members attending this rally.Tom and Rose Folan, 

Pete and Ann Huke, Nancy Kaczynski, Rick and Lou Ann Walker. 

Thanks go to Linda Nicol and Alan Pearce for the Marketing materials, bright postcards which can be distributed or mailed to increase our membership. They also ensured that the FMCA contributed $100 for these materials.   

     The current officers of the club are President, Gil Snyder, VP, Laura Lincoln,

Secretary, Sally Robertson,Treasurer, Phil Tasker, National director, Gus Berges, Membership, Nidia Bernstiel, Nominating committee, Gus Berges, the remaining 2 nominating committee positions are not filled.  

Officers for the 2024-2025 year will be voted at the April rally and begin their terms in October. Candidates include: President Gil Snyder; VP Gus Berges and Johanna Luupo, Secretary, Sally Robertson, Treasurer, Phil Tasker, Membership, Nidia Bernstiell, National Director Artie Roan, Nominating Committee, not determined.

   Phil Tasker, Treasurer gave a detailed report of the expenses. That report and questions were available to the membership. As of February 29, there is $6,450 in the treasury.

Phil made a motion to allow the Board of TC to spend $250 without the approval of the treasurer. The motion was Moved Seconded and Voted in. 

Gus reported that the FMCA has made efforts to increase membership but has not done so as yet. 

   Laura Lincoln reviewed the rallies for the 2024-2025 year. Those dates and locations will be available on the website soon. Laura encourages members to suggest any rally locations to her.

   Hosts were needed for the May rally and Paul and Bernie Williams and Tom and Rose Folan, new members, volunteered. Reservations for the rally must be made by April 1st. 

    Hosts are needed for the October rally.

   Susan and Tom Thompson reviewed the events at the April 10-14th rally at Fisherman’s Cove 

RV Resort.  Bring In The Clowns! 

     Thanks were extended to the hosts for this rally, Gus and Jeanette Berges, Nidia and John Bernstiell and the many members who”pitched in”! The food was delicious, the games fun, and  especially the camaraderie!!
